Answer 18 questions about how you use AI at work. Get a suggested training level and topics to discuss with your instructor.

Find a useful place to begin.

18 questions. Six short sections. About five minutes. Answer for yourself in the first five sections and for your business in the final section.

Answer from real experience, not what you think you could do. The third answer means you have done it without guidance. The fourth means you have used the same approach successfully more than once and know how to check and correct the result. Check AI work at every level.

“Not yet / not sure” is a useful answer. This is a self-reported learning guide, not a validated exam, certification, or security audit.

How the recommendation works

Each answer scores 0–3. Each dimension totals 0–9. We do not use one overall score: less than 4 in everyday use, or not yet being able to start a conversation, suggests AI Basics. Otherwise, less than 6 in getting better answers or less than 5 in keeping work organized suggests Thought Partner; less than 6 in completing work with AI suggests Assistant; stronger prerequisites suggest studying Employee.

Business information and review processes are assessed separately. Any answer below 2 in the final section flags something to practice or confirm before ongoing AI use. Experienced users with 7 or more in ongoing tasks and all final-section answers at 2 or above are also pointed toward specialty discussions. These initial thresholds are a transparent training heuristic, not scientifically validated cutoffs. We recommend confirming the result through a conversation and a practical exercise.
